Could The Weather Be A Little Crazier???

If you don't like the weather, stick around, it will change….
Graptoveria
It has been 24 degrees and 79 degrees all in a 5 day span.  Crazy?  Nah, just Texas.
 Yucca aloifolia Variegata
We have had a couple of really pretty days the last few weeks.
succulent
This past weekend for example was BEAUTIFUL.  Then there was today….. not so much….

So we just enjoy the pretty days and wait for the heat to return, or at least I do.

The succulents are rockin' and rollin' in the succulent house blooming like mad.  When the cold brings me down, I just go walk in there and look at all the blooms and smile.

It won't be long and we will all be wondering when we get relief from the heat, but personally, I love the 100 degree days.  Call me crazy but I do.

  1. Yes...this has been a crazy winter. This back and forth, is hard on our gardens and old bones...lol
Seems we'll be having some nice weather, later this week. Wouldn't it be nice, if it would stay a while? Maybe a little WARM rain thrown in.

  2. It's crazy. We're used to a big range of temps in the winter but this is a bit beyond typical as far as I remember. The weather is even worse today but expected to get better as the week rolls on.

I can't say I love the heat but I usually say it's worth it for our mild winters. This year I'm glad we don't still live in New England!

    1. Agreed- beyond typical. I will take our winter any day over being snowed in and shoveling snow to get out of my house etc…. It sure is pretty though to see it. I just don't want to live in it……

  3. Wow - that is a lot variation in a day! I'm better at snow than 100 so it's good that I'm in Maine and you are in Texas but you've been getting a bit of our winter this year.

    1. Ha! Right??? I am not the best at snow but I do enjoy it in little spurts. We had a wonderful vacation to Lake Tahoe a few winters back and it was incredible to wake up and see everything draped in white. I took some amazing shots (hard not to with that scenery) - wonderful to visit…. I don't know how you do it but then you prob don't know how I do the 100's which I do with no problem. =0) My niece in Boston has been having a tough time adjusting to the weather - I don't think she's converted just yet… still a Texas girl.

  4. I am not sure what is worse wild mood swings or weather that is consistently miserable, grey and cold. You certainly have had some extremes. Before you know it you will be enjoying those days of 100 degrees.

    1. Right??? We had the flip flop again last week- in the 80's then the next day low 20's. It is crazy. I would prefer just cold or hot and not the back and forth. I am too old for this!!! haha.
