Happy GBBD!!!!

 Happy GBBD!!!
I thought I'd start out with the Passion Vine.  They are blooming on the fence like crazy.  They are absolutely stunning.  This particular one is the Ruby Glow.
The Shrimp Plant are an often overlooked but very pretty flower.  We have them in yellow too though I prefer the orange.
I was going to take a photo of the ice plant and the Tecoma (Yellow Bells, aka Esperanza), in the front bed but I thought it all looked so pretty together I took a shot of it all to share.
I thought this shot looked prettier as a whole than as individuals so I thought I'd include this one of the other side of the above bed.  It is of the Thryallis, Bougainvillea, Brazilian Pavonia and Indigo Spires peeking in the background.
The Palo Verdes are still blooming.   They remind me of Scottsdale.
The Yellow Yuccas are blooming away in the desert bed as well.
Alongside the Yuccas is the Trailing Rosemary which is blooming right now- hard not to like a Rosemary.
The Russian Sage in that bed are in full bloom as well- I like how they are so muted.
The Agastache is a tried and true favorite of mine (and the hummingbirds).
The Mexican Flame Vine are bursting with color all over the fence...
 ...along with the Antigonon.
The 'Grassie Lassie' Aloes are blooming and enjoying this cooler weather.
The Podranea Vine are a subtle yet beautiful vine.
The often overlooked yet bursting with color as if screaming for attention, the Purple Heart are blooming alongside the silver Dykia's.
And last but not least, the Madame Galen's are blooming away.  I have found people either love or hate this vine.  It can get a little large.... but in the right place I think it is stunning.

  2. I love the Passion Vine, and I am also very pleased to discover the name of the Thryallis. I have seen it planted widely over here (I am working short-term in Indonesia)and had seen it at home but never knew the name. Thanks for sharing your lovely garden.

    2. I just noticed the time is off. It isn't 5:39, it's 7:39. Do you know how to adjust that? Guess it doesn't really matter. Odd- my computer clock is right though...

  4. Gorgeous blooms, all of them. Beautiful colors on the passionvine and I agree that shrimp plant is one that should be planted more.

I am glad to see your Mexican Flame Vine blooming, mine is quite large but has not rebloomed since early spring.

    1. Thanks!!! Ours just started blooming again this last week. Yours might be on it's way. We have one in the shade as well and it is all budded up but it definitely prefers the sun as far as heavy blooms go.

  5. All gorgeous blooms.

My Flame vine looks healthy, but no blooms either. It may need more sun than it's getting.

  6. That was totally it!!! Thanks! I am now on central time. woo hoo. Ha! Our that I "test deer planted" in the front bed is all budded up but has not started to bloom yet. But yes, with more sun they do bloom more. Neat vine- such a bright orange.

  7. Happy GBBD! It's so nice to see something blooming since nothing is in Maine after our frost. Your garden is lush and gorgeous.

  8. Lots of pretty blooms in this GBBD post. The passion vine is amazing. They are such unusual and intriguing flowers. I can't imagine a whole fence covered with them. What a sight that might be. I love the purple Agastache. I added a blue one this summer and am completely sold on this perennial. Your picture of the blooming rosemary reminds me I must bring mine in before another frost strikes. I lost the one I had the previous summer.
